Several studies have been carried out to achieve the development and maintenance of a good working environment, the interest is given by the need to have within organizations motivated employees who feel identified with the objectives of the company and feel satisfied their needs And expectations.

Factors that serve the Development of a Positive Work Environment

Various factors are associated with the idea of seeking to establish a work environment favorable to productivity, such as the application of universal incentives that meet individual needs, so it will be necessary to identify those needs and to understand the particularities of each case.

6 Strategies to Attract Employees to Stays in Your Team

What should we observe?

  1. The physical Work Environment

The physical conditions of the workplace are fundamental to employee satisfaction; a clean, spacious, well-lit, orderly and harmonious office will promote not only the well-being but also the productivity of the workers.

Balance between life and work. Several studies show that an employee is more motivated when he perceives a harmonious balance between his family life and his working life. This is achieved through policies that encourage the employee to spend more time with his or her family (flexible hours, day care, and special leave).

  1. Individual and Collective Goals

It must be achieved to align the particular goals of employees with the objectives of the company, create a link and a sense of belonging.

  1. Growth Opportunities

Providing our workers with growth opportunities within companies favors the work climate, applying a system of incentives and promotions, the worker will feel valued and will be more prone to take care of their daily tasks.

  1. Effective Leadership

It is very important the linkage that leaders of a company or organization have with the creation of a good working environment. The ability of these to communicate the objectives of the company and promote success, through the relationship with its employees will be fundamental.

  1. Labor Relations

Promoting relationships among employees based on respect, professionalism and collaboration, will favor a good working environment.

Reward systems. It is very important that employees feel that they bring something positive to the company and are recognized for their efforts. For this reason it is important to establish a method of recognition for those who work best, either with a bonus, days off, higher remuneration, etc.

There are many factors associated with achieving a positive work environment, aimed at the success, productivity, competitiveness and high levels of creativity of our organizations. However, for these strategies to be sustainable we must implement a management of workers’ Constant incentives in the company.

Valuing People to Create Value

How to value people? The human capital of companies is undoubtedly their most valuable resource, successful companies must design plans to keep their employees motivated to work, as a motivated work team is the basic ingredient for productivity.

But although there are techniques that we can use to motivate our employees, we must understand that motivation is a dynamic concept that varies according to the needs and expectations of each person.

Factors such as age, idiosyncrasy, and the social and cultural level of the individual can determine which practices would work best to keep him motivated to work.

“Valuing People to Create Value”, which discusses applied strategies for motivating human capital. A company, analyzing the techniques of motivation from a theoretical point of view and then taking into account the practices frequently used in the most important companies in the world.

This study identifies three factors considered key to the development of motivation:

Factors of Motivation

  1. Living. It refers to creating favorable working conditions, where there is a balance between work and family life.
  2. Career: The worker has the need to feel that he has possibilities of growth within his company, which can contribute something. It is good to implement a system of work by objectives, recognition and free communication between the entire work team.
  3. Relationship: Promote links between employees, with customers and with the same company. Establish a sense of belonging, encouraging our human capital to share the vision and values represented by our company.

Create Value

It is important to keep in mind that motivation is not a unique measure to be taken by the owners of a company and that once we decide to implement it our employees will be happy and increase our productivity.

Motivation has to be Built and done every day

We can start by improving the aesthetic aspect of our offices, making work schedules more flexible, creating day care services, and implementing bonuses and awards in recognition of the work done. But for our motivation strategies to be sustainable, they must rely on the design of an open management to listen to our workers. This will certainly have a direct effect on the productivity of our company and will favor its competitiveness within the market.
