Email Marketing: – A New way to Capture and Retain Customers

By Richard Daniels Reading Time: 3 mins

The email marketing is one of the most powerful strategies of modern times to attract and retain customers. Many people think that this system is not recommended because it can annoy users, but the truth is that, if applied correctly, it can become a constant source of income for your business. Knowing how to increase conversions is one of the things that can make the difference.

Importance of Email Marketing

It must be recognized that the Internet has changed business exponentially. It will never be as it was before. Following the norms and strategies of the old-fashioned way no longer generates the same profitability. If you want your business to have more customers, you have no choice but to be visible on the net and take advantage of the potential of digital tools.

As a result, new marketing strategies have emerged to capture the attention of users. One of them is email marketing. In fact, long before the new entrepreneurs and companies wanted to have an online presence, prestigious brands such as DIA, Carrefour or Condis started using this system to increase their sales.

And, apparently, it worked for them. Otherwise, they would not follow this line. It is true that social networks are also a very interesting alternative to attract customers. However, with email marketing you can not only capture new customers, but also loyalty. If you’re wondering why, the answer is very simple: Email is the most intimate Internet tool a person has. If he gives you access to it, it is because he trusts you and is interested in what you offer.

What does this mean? As each shipment you make, it can be converted into recurring sales and therefore a good flow of constant income for your business. Of course, it is not enough to send emails. If they are not done correctly, you will not earn conversions, but a bad reputation online. And this, for practical purposes, is not recommended. Therefore, in order for your mailing submissions to be successful, you must keep in mind some fundamental aspects.

Important Aspects

The first thing to do, is to work on a good email marketing platform that helps you save money on each submission you make so you can convert more. One of the most recommended companies in this area is Mailrelay, because you will not only be able to work on a secure platform, but also save a lot of money. In fact, Mailrelay could be considered the most profitable email marketing platform, since you can send up to 75,000 emails per month and have 15,000 subscribers totally free. Most platforms are more expensive and, in short, you will have to already have some experience with this marketing strategy so you do not waste a lot of money.

However, although Mailrelay is cheaper than others, it does not mean that its performance is worse: it is one of the best platforms in Spain by far. In addition, Mailrelay has a very interesting technology that can help you that your mailings do not end up in the SPAM folder. This technology is called SmartDelivery, and now I’ll explain what it is.

What is SmartDelibery and why are you interested in your email marketing strategy?

As the subscriber list grows, it is normal for many of your emails to end up in the SPAM folder. There are several reasons that can encourage this situation:

  • The subscriber in question does not usually open emails and automatically Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or others selects them as spam
  • You have a bad reputation online in the mailing list and most subscribers do not interact in the mailings
  • Perform illegal practices

Let’s say that having a large list of subscribers does not mean that you have insured sales. You have to figure out which subscribers are the ones that benefit you and hurt you. In this way, you will have a higher percentage of success in your mass mailing. With SmartDelibery technology, you can always know which subscribers are most active with your emails and those who do not read them directly.

This way, in addition, you will be able to eliminate those subscribers that do not interest you so that later you can improve the quality of the list. Best of all is that with Mailrelay, you can enjoy this service with the free account. It is not necessary to have the PREMIUM account, so this feature differs from most email marketing platforms.
