6 – Ways to keep your Motivation alive as an Entrepreneur

Keep your |Motivation Alive as Entrepreneurs: – Emprender is one of the most complicated jobs in existence. Not only do you need knowledge, productivity and dedication, but also a strong motivation to help you move forward. In many cases an entrepreneur is faced with complicated situations that make the road become an uphill. In these situations it is normal to lower morale and that is why many entrepreneurs may be tempted to abandon their project.

But as has been shown over time, success in business is closely linked to perseverance. If we surrender easily it will be difficult for us to achieve our goals. We have to work hard on our project in both good and bad times. But what can an entrepreneur do to regain the motivation and inspiration he needs? In this article we will look at 6 ways to improve the entrepreneurial motivation that you can put into practice when things do not go as you expect.

How to Motivate Yourself as an Entrepreneur

  1. Visualize your goals and objectives

Sometimes, when we are immersed in a maelstrom of tasks, decisions and operational problems, it is normal to lose sight of our entrepreneurial vision. We begin to lose the entrepreneurial sense and see ourselves as slave workers of our project. It is in these moments when we must stop and recapitulate. We have to visualize what is the purpose of all your work? What are the goals we want to achieve and how we will feel when we reach them?

In this way we will be able to recover the entrepreneurial spirit and we will put the things in perspective again. “Yes, we are working very hard, but we are doing it for our dream”

  1. Read

There is a wealth of inspiring books and valuable information for entrepreneurs. In addition, reading will help you to keep an active and exercised mind. Reading is one of the activities that will undoubtedly help you on your journey as an entrepreneur. Here you can see a list of 100 books that a passionate entrepreneur will read at least once in his life. Surely you find more than one interesting book.

  1. Discover the best films for Entrepreneurs

Cinema is not only a source of entertainment but also knowledge, motivation, ideas and inspiration. In this case we talk about films for entrepreneurs that can help us improve our motivation for the stories they tell or the knowledge they convey.

Watching movies like “In Search of Happiness,” “Joy,” or the “Wall Street Wolf,” can give us the push we need to regain the motivation we’ve lost. If you want to discover more movies like these, do not miss the 20 films of more motivating entrepreneurs.

  1. Talk to other Entrepreneurs

When we decide to undertake and we do it alone, we are likely to have to deal with solitude at work. When undertaking without a partner to give us your support or a team to help us complete tasks, we feel that the full weight of the business falls on our shoulders.

Although on many occasions we will be able to comment with our family and friends on the details of the project, it will never be the same as doing it with a partner or with other entrepreneurs who are going through our situation. For this reason it is important that we enter into relationships with other entrepreneurs who can support us and understand our experiences.

In order to find other entrepreneurs with whom to share experiences we can search on pages like Meet Up, in associations of entrepreneurs or even in forums and blogs of Internet. Being able to talk with other entrepreneurs is something that will help us improve our motivation, share experiences or even get different perspectives to solve our problems.

  1. Disconnect

Although the myth of the entrepreneur who works day and night in his project is very widespread, this is not the ideal model. An entrepreneur like any other person needs his / her hours of rest and periods of disconnection.

If we do not disconnect frequently we can get burned and abhor our project: this means a lack of motivation and a decrease in productivity.

However busy we are and for many tasks we have pending, we have to learn to disconnect and make a correct balance between our personal life and our professional life. Many entrepreneurs become so obsessed with their projects that they find it impossible to disconnect and end up losing friends and family.

  1. Stay Positive

Finally we must always maintain a positive attitude; even when things do not go as well as we expect. To achieve this it is important that we know that failure is not the end and that we will always have the opportunity to try again.

The psychologist Emile Coue devised a method to improve motivation and self-confidence based on an autosuggestion process. This method is to repeat every day one or several phrases as a mantra until our body are self-suggestive that this mantra is real.

For example, following this method, we can repeat every day the phrase “I’m going to be successful with my Startup” and visualize us obtaining that success to change our state and thus we feel more prone to achieve it.
