10 – Phrases to Remove from your Vocabulary as Business Students

Phrases to Remove from your Vocabulary:- In the office, apart from having an excellent physical appearance and good behavior, you must learn to have the proper language. The vocabulary tells a lot about a person when it comes to their personal and work life. However, the following article goes on to make known those words that you must erase from your memory, at least during the working day. Know through Professional Life the 10 phrases or words that according to different experts you should avoid in the office.

Phrases to Remove from your Vocabulary

  1. “When …”

Conditional and job prospects do not mix too well. If we want our professional career to take off, we must eradicate from our vocabulary expressions of the type “when I have more experience, I will go for the promotion” or “I will start my own business when things go better.” Most of these ‘quandals’ never become reality.

  1. “I do not have time …”

The human being is so surprising that the same person who ensures not having time to perform a certain task, is able to spend all afternoon consulting his profile on Facebook. The truth is that, many times we say we do not have time, simply, not to do something that gives us laziness.

  1. “I’m not good enough”

Even if you feel it to be true, never say it in public. Minimizing your abilities will only make your superiors and your colleagues lose confidence in you.

  1. “It’s not the time …”

If you think so, you will never find the right ‘time’ to run for promotion, ask for a raise or change of job. Waiting is not the solution. Based on the fact that the perfect moment does not exist, choose the less bad.

  1. “That’s not my job …”

Although it is true, you should not say it out loud, since it is very likely that you are compromising your position in the company. If you do not like what you do, try changing jobs to one that best fits your expectations.

  1. “I can charge less … or my rates are flexible”.

To underestimate the value of your work deprecates your level of professionalism. This type of expression conveys the image that you are desperate and that you have no confidence in your abilities. In addition, the client would know that he can pressure you down and that you will accept the job.

  1. “Er …”

These expressions are really devastating in a labor conversation because, even if you do not believe it, they denote lack of interest on your part, lack of knowledge and will reveal your lack of vocabulary.

  1. “What did he say?”

In the work meetings you must show attention and capacity of concentration. Collect and record everything your boss or clients say so they do not have to repeat.

  1. “Work at home and in pajamas!”

You may think that you are the envy of those around you, but the truth is that the only thing that conveys this expression is lack of taste and little professional ethics.

  1. “Tremendous party last night!”

Typical phrases those workers, especially the youngest, releases on Friday mornings. You should never mention it in front of a client or the boss. It’s as if you told him: “After I got drunk last night, today I cannot work on your project.” The details of your private life are, as the word itself says, private. Also do not boast about your night out on social networks.

In the world of work, avoid these terms that do not contribute anything. Try to avoid them to avoid generating doubts or confuse your colleagues and customers.

Keys to Stay Positive in your Business

Tips for Achieving Proper Posture when Walking

It is no secret that body language tells a lot about a person’s way of being or, at least, about the security that someone else has. Although in every aspect in which you develop a good posture is an excellent letter of presentation, in the working world this element occupies an even more important space. But having a good posture can be a rather complicated task at first. That’s why; here we show you 6 tips to walk properly.

  1. Look at the ears! The main thing is that your body is aligned, so your ears should be at the level of your shoulders as you look ahead, you must verify that your body is upright.
  1. Be careful with your shoulders! The shoulders should be slightly backwards, i.e. you should get your chest out.
  1. Earring of the abdomen! Closing the abdomen allows the tension to improve your posture.
  1. Stretch! Keep your body always extended as if pulling a thread up from your feet to your head; your chin parallel to the floor and slightly up.
  1. Watch out for the walk! Take moderate steps. Not too short or too long.
  1. Walk with rhythm! Bring a rhythm between your right arm and your left foot and vice versa.

Remember that your posture is usually associated with the attitude; therefore, accompany it with positive thoughts and security. Always remember to look forward, to project that confidence from your spine and your bones.
