How to Improve Productivity in just 6 days | Improving Productivity

How to Improve Productivity: – Being productive means producing something, but also being profitable, bringing in money. When you’re productive, you manage your time efficiently to accomplish all the tasks of the day without stress and stress, while taking time for yourself.

Productivity must be the key word in your professional life, but also in your private life. Do you have the unfortunate tendency to yield to distractions and to put everything back to the morrow? The procrastination is one of the main barriers to productivity. To be more efficient and productive at work, you have to change your habits, be organized and disciplined. Below are the tips to improve productivity in just only 6 days.

Improve Productivity within 6 Days

Your goal is to advance your project, for that you have to be productive in any circumstance. Follow these tips to improve your productivity in just 6 days.

Day 1: Get to know you

At what time of the day are you most successful? A majority of people work more efficiently in the early hours of the morning. Others prefer the end of the day. Find the schedule that suits you best and organize your day accordingly.

Day 2: Perform the most challenging tasks in the morning

After a good night’s sleep, you are full of energy to attack your workday. Your concentration and your creativity are to the maximum. It is usually the morning that you are the best performer. Take advantage of it to work first on the most unpleasant tasks and those that require a lot of thought and attention.

In the same way, keep tasks simpler and less creative for the end of the day.

Day 3: Plan your goals for the day

What are your goals to achieve today? List the tasks you need to do in the day. To be productive, be realistic and do not write too long lists that you will not be able to complete in one day. Set deadlines for each task. Be aware of your abilities and limitations, but be strict.

  • Prioritize your tasks

Your time is valuable and it is not extensible, so it is essential to prioritize the tasks to be carried out.

Once you have determined the actions to be accomplished during the day, rank them in order of importance to deal with the most urgent first. Prioritizing your tasks allows you to achieve your ultimate goal by being productive and thus minimizing the time, money and resources used.

  • Concentrate on one task at a time

Contrary to what one might think, being multitasking is not productive. Moving from one action to another without consistency is the best way to lose efficiency and concentration. You are much less efficient and you forget things. Instead, concentrate on one task until it is complete. Then only, go to the next task.

Day 4: Use Technology

Today, there are many software and applications that help you be more productive. For example, project management software has many features that make it easier to manage project, and therefore to be more productive.

You no longer waste time searching for the information you need because it is centralized on a single platform. You can also track the progress of your tasks, monitor their deadlines, and plan and manage your time effectively.

Day 5: Limit meetings

It is a fact that many meetings are time consuming, unnecessary and counterproductive. However, the meeting is a communication and coordination tool indispensable for the monitoring and implementation of a project. To be productive, it must be properly prepared and concise; otherwise it will only be a waste of time for both the organizer and the participants. Do not go to a meeting unless it is truly inevitable for your work. And if you organize one, always prepare an agenda.

Day 6: Log out

To work effectively or to recharge, it is essential to know how to make the vacuum and isolate oneself. Allow yourself to work without any interruption: no telephone, no email, no visit or other solicitations that can disturb you. When working on tasks that require great concentration, it is imperative to disconnect your phone and your computer from wifi, or disable notifications to avoid being constantly disturbed.

Another trick to be more productive: it is useless to consult your emails continuously throughout the day. This only hampers your productivity. For more efficiency, limit yourself to only two to three times a day, preferably at fixed times.

  • Take breaks

Your brain can only concentrate for a while. If you work all day on complex tasks requiring constant mental effort, it is essential to take breaks. Your brain needs to rest to remain creative.

Go out to get some fresh air, go for a few minutes, have a coffee and talk with colleagues. Take time to think about something other than work, and empty your mind. Once back to your office, you will be ready to work again.

  • Be ordered

You will be more productive if you work in an environment conducive to work. To do this, take a few minutes to store your desktop, file your paper and electronic files, empty and organize your mailbox.

Anything unnecessary slows you down and you lose time looking for a file or a misplaced email. Only leave on your desk what you need to work (your mobile phone must be stored in a drawer or in your bag).

In Summary

Improving productivity requires above all willingness and better management of time, avoiding distractions and interruptions. There are many ways to improve productivity, such as this article that offers no less than 130 ideas to be more productive (some are to be taken in 2nd degree). It’s up to you to test and find the methods that suit you.
