Since that’s what makes the customers happily fall victim, purchasing your products. It seems strange but it is true! Have you ever thought of the tactics that McDonalds makes use of? Yeah! We are talking about those commercials and billboards that water up the mouths of viewers. That’s how these advertising strategies determine the success level of your brand.

Business of Fear

Using fear for persuading customers to go for a certain product or services is one of the most interesting and common methods of persuasion. The concept of this strategy is based on the idea that the company, that wants to spread the word about its products. In addition suggests the “can-be-customers” group of people. Then that if they do not purchase the product, mishaps will find their way to those people. Since companies know the factors that fear most of the people and thus they create a situation that makes the fear even worse. While on the other hand, they keep suggesting people to go for their products.

Companies know that fear in most people is un-attractiveness, insecurity either of their privacy or their lives or the fear of being rejected. Most common examples of businesses that make use of such strategies are those related to beauty products, body fat, odor and even, unwanted hair. And not even the digital world is spared from this.

Appealing to Emotion

In a totally opposite realm, to that of the business of fear, lies the concept of formation of an emotional relationship between a brand and its customer base. It all starts with a promise from the company that the product will be capable of fulfilling a particular purpose of emotional need. That emotional need can belong to either the physical appearance of the customer or internal peace. Moreover even the need of feeling secure and that’s why most of the advertisers while advertising their business associate. Basically their advertising strategies to the things that most of the people expect from their life e.g. wealth, health, love, etc.

Putting Star Power to Use

One of the most effective advertising strategies is to recruit sports heroes and celebrities to help promote your product. Since these are people from which most of the people get their inspiration to live and pursue an objective. Well! That objective can be anything like practicing and becoming a sports star like those recruited by you or something like this.

Just think of that immediate and immense increase in the demand for your product that arises. Once you put an ad on a television channel that stars a celebrity with your product in his/her hands. The most commonly observed type of businesses that make use of this strategy often relate to body care products, food products, and clothing lines. However that doesn’t mean that your business can not take advantage of this strategy. In fact, any business that is able to pay up the fees of advertising to a celebrity or sports person. That actually can put start power to its benefits.

Facts and Figures

Making use of facts and figures in your advertisements makes your business look professional in its way of working. Moreover, it is also a fact that people tend to believe a business with reliable facts and figures to be trust-worthy. So, it becomes quite a kid’s play to manipulate customers to make them your first and permanent customers.

Coupling Ads with a Factor of Awesomeness

Awesomeness is what attracts people towards itself and when you are able to use your ads in a combination with it. Then it might be your best chance to make sales. Even if what you show in ads is not true, you are still leaving a lot of room for your brand’s popularity. However that surely puts the trust level at stake. That’s why such types of advertising strategies are often targeted to kids and toys. Since showing a toy car speeding up with a race car and defeating it or a toy plane making loops in the air. So basically this can fool children but not adults.

Back in 2000, when Tomy Corporation released Beyblades, it also released a manga series also named as “BeyBlade”. Actually to help achieve its objectives of generating sales. With the growing popularity of the series, the number of sales made by the company grew with time.

Using an Ideal Looking Family as a Decoy

Making people believe that your product is something that can help them achieve what they were longing for, is the key to your brand’s success. These days, the idea of using an ideal family in the advertisements is gaining popularity day by day. You might see an ad or two where a small and happy family lives and the happiness increases with the usage of the company’s product. Companies manufacturing eatable products like ice creams, burgers, sandwiches, marmalades. That are often supposed to be the ones behind the growing popularity of such advertising strategies.

Cunning Words

The wording, along with visuals, is one of the main factors on the basis of which viewers classify an advertisement among beneficial or not. Even though most of the time companies are supposed to tell the truth about their products and services. Also a careful choice of weasel words is what saves them from a lot of trouble. For example, beauty products advertisements often include the wording like natural, care and many others like these. But these deceptive words are nothing, in most of the cases. However a means of promotion that attracts customers towards itself. Thus provides a strong stepping stone to the company against its competitors.
