7 – Main Advertising Objectives Examples

It is really important for every business owner to know their advertising objectives before running any advertising campaign. Companies probably put up their resources in advertising their brands and products since they know that what they are spending will surely find its way back to their coffers through more lead and sales. Every brand owner has some goals and objectives in his mind for his business to generate sales and flourish regardless of limits of time, season and trends. These goals can be anything from gathering new customers to retaining old customer base on one hand to building awareness of the brand and its product to other. Getting the attention of customers to a business, also, belongs to one of the most common advertising objectives examples.

  1. Product Demonstration

Getting the word out for a product that has been added to the company’s arsenal is one of the main objectives that companies pursue. This word can be any information related to the product like its features, price update, product update and even its ease of use. One of the various advertising objectives example is to help the customers get an idea of how well a product will work by keeping in view the comparison between the situations before the product usage and right after it. That’s how “before and after” techniques work.

  1. Encouraging Trial and Usage

Advertising means often find their usage in encouraging the users to try out a new product, which if stood up to the expectations of the customers can surely get a huge line of customers waiting for their purchase. To make this customer base tied to your brand in an even tighter bond of trust and reliability, ads are reinforced with the help of coupons, discounts and many other types of such offers. For example, a shopping mall may offer its customer 50 bucks off, once the purchase of  $ 300 is made, or so. And the word for this offer is then spread with the help of advertising means.

  1. Reminding the Satisfaction

In business, rise and fall are likely to come and so, the customers that are happy with the quality of your services, today, may not be so if declination of quality occurs. Or it might be that the company is trying to resurrect an old but one of the heart-winner products that did best in the old times, and by reminding the customers about that satisfaction, they may want to regain the lost relationship of trust among the existing customers. For example, some companies still run advertisements and commercials for the products belonging to products range of one or two decades behind.

  1. Increasing Sales

The idea of advertising objectives example is incomplete without mentioning the main reason for which companies advertise about their brands and that is to increase sales and profits. For example, for some companies, advertising is the only thing that drives sales of their products, because it might be that they don’t have any sales departments or even if they have one, it might not functioning well. So the only way, with which these companies can stand the test of time and competition, is to advertise their product through various means.

  1. Changing Customers’ Perception

Advertising comes handy in those situations too, where a brand is trying to change the perception of customers towards it. For example, it might be that a company, that was notorious for its weak customer support or low-quality product, now advertises about its policy changes and subscription-based customer support and another type of thing. Or it can also be a restaurant informing people about its new range of dishes that it has to offer to customers who were running away before because of the restaurant’s “same old, same old” dishes.

  1. Building Image

Has your brand’s customer base started to fade and is growing weaker and weaker in a timely manner? Then, it’s time to rebuild the image of the old brand in a new way. This advertising objectives example suits well on insurance companies since they often have their clients on the run because of their crazy policies. That’s where advertising means come in as a savior for the company, which makes use of those means in reshaping up the shattered relation of trust among the customers and the brand. Car dealers also use it for the purpose of building their reputation in the market as honest, reliable and trustable. And so do the retailers for letting the customers know that they are being provided with the products of their choices in the lowest price than anyone else in the market.

  1. Driving Purchase Actions

Sales and purchases are what that keeps a company in business and alive, since without there, the risk of the collapse in business increases exponentially. So, that’s what which forces the advertisers to step out and search for the effective marketing and advertising tactics which force the customers to spend some bucks for the cause of company and that too for their own happiness.

For the purpose, there’s a possibility of the release of a limited time coupon offer which makes the people think that if they didn’t take advantage of the offer, they will surely be leaving a thing, quite important to them. Furthermore, a timed trial would also be effective for the same kind of job. Well! Not just this, such advertising objectives example might be incomplete if we do not refer to the idea of freebies.
