Do you know How to Work as a Team and What Motivates the Employees

How to Work as a Team and What Motivates them? There is no job interview in which we are not asked if we know how to work as a team, this capacity is one of the most sought and appreciated in today’s working world, and although we always respond “yes, of course”, the truth do we consider ourselves able to work as a team?

How to Work as a Team and Importance of Teamwork

Today, experience has shown to the most productive and large companies in the world that teamwork is essential for their performance and productive performance. Team vision is based on a group of people who share values and goals.

8 Ways to Improve Work Motivation in the Workplace

But reality is not always that, companies are increasingly dedicating efforts to build and strengthen that corporate culture desired to make all its members think as one and work towards the same goal. Considering diversity within the company is the first step towards achieving this goal.

Different ideas, different people

No matter how much money we invest in motivating our employees, there will always be situations that offer unique challenges for the team where they can be strengthened or broken, that not only depends on the corporate culture but also on the individual characteristics of our employees.

Always within a company converge different visions, different people, personalities influenced by their own environment, culture, background; Against this we cannot fight, so the company must always strive to have people in your team capable of working as a part of the whole beyond these differences.

You are a team worker

As employees we have to evaluate and correct our own attitude in the face of the challenge of working for a team and aligning our needs and values with those of the company. Of course, many factors come to play here but our attitude towards work and the company are the beginning of everything.

How to learn to work as a team?

  1. Do not take it personally. In the workplace there is a lot of competition so the sometimes negative attitude of others should not affect us personally, do not let the decisions of others ruin your confidence.
  2. Listen. Working better with others sometimes comes down to simply listening to what they think or what they have to say, even if we do not agree, listening is not only a sign of respect but allows us to establish consensus.
  3. Be curious. Curiosity allows us to learn and understand why others think as they do, and discover ways to resolve situations for which we must always be open.
  4. Be an influence to others. Impregnate with your positivity and your optimism to the members of your team, sometimes we have to be each of us who radiate with new ideas the operation of a team.
  5. Meet your peers. If the company does not promote activities outside the office, do it yourself, get involved with your colleagues in other environments and in situations where there is less pressure, this greatly facilitates sharing.

Find out What Motivates your team

Great leaders must possess the quality to attract people and link them with each other and with the company, creating that connection with workers is essential for these people and yet not all succeed and it is harder every day to retain valuable workers And guide them towards the goals of an organization.

The secret of “engagement” with workers

It is no secret, in fact many studies have shown that the way to create this link with our employees is to discover and understand what motivates them. How that engine turns on that leads them to wake up every morning with the intention of giving the best of themselves to the organization.

Business culture

There are many measures that can be taken to motivate employees, make them feel part of the team, achieve a balance between work and family life, establish fair remuneration, apply the philosophy of emotional salary, and create a corporate culture that has as core the satisfaction of our employees.

Not all are the same

But there is something missing within all these corporate culture practices and it is the fact that we cannot treat our workers equally, each of them will feel more motivated for one reason or another and we have to discover as leaders what is Which motivates them individually.

Of course this means more work for the managers of a company, but the most successful leaders have shown that helping each employee to understand what their passion is and what motivates them is the key to success and from there is molding the work in Function of his individual passion.

How do you know what motivates employees?

To begin with you should sit down with each of your employees and ask them a series of questions that can help you decipher exactly what motivates them. The questions can be as follows:

  1. What has been your best work experience? Here we have to emphasize that we do not refer to where he has earned more money or held a higher position, but which work experience has filled him the most, where he has been most involved and has been proactive.
  2. Describe that experience, what activities you performed, what the relationship with your boss was like.
  3. Point out what is most important to you at work, specifically which of those experiences we can take to shape your current job.

In general, if we want to have workers who give everything for the whole, we have to take them into account individually, to understand them not only in favor of them but for the benefit of the company, the more we know them, and the easier it is to take advantage of their talents.
