Importance of Collaboration in Project Management

Importance of Collaboration in Project Management: – In our previous article, we highlighted the value of project management for an organization. We will now see why collaboration is paramount in the project management process. Infect below this post is all about the importance of collaboration for project management.

Importance of Collaboration in Project Management

  1. Project management is not done Alone

Today, projects concern more and more departments within an organization. Employees working in various fields are therefore required to work together to complete the work. Projects are not limited to internal members of the organization.

Partners, service providers or customers are also invited to take part in the different phases of a project. It is therefore important to define all the stakeholders and thus determine to what extent they will work together.

  1. Hence the Interest of Collaborating

Indeed, the success of a project will depend largely on the ability of stakeholders to collaborate. A project, even if it is perfectly structured and planned, loses its interest without good team cohesion.

It is therefore essential to be able to exchange and communicate easily on the progress of the project. In fact, it is emphasized that the different tasks of a project usually depend on several people. There is often interdependence between the actions of each other.

  1. Effective Collaboration

Having a team that collaborates effectively offers the best chance of fulfilling its purpose. This includes:

Share your knowledge: make your knowledge available to everyone so that everyone benefits from the expertise of the members of the project.

Easily exchange documents: used on a daily basis, documents must be easily updated and shared among project members. Discuss and comment: Do not be afraid to converse about a particular task or a change to a document.

Follow the progress of a task: there is often a dependency between the tasks of the collaborators. Being informed of the progress of an action optimizes the execution and monitoring of the project.

  1. Requires good IT tools

With the rise of new technologies, these actions are conducted more easily. In fact, the Internet has transformed the modes of communication and the use of paper is beginning to fade in favor of dematerialized solutions, more conducive to collaboration.

In our daily lives, at home or at work, we are used to using these tools 2.0 to exchange and communicate with our environment: email, social networks, various mobile applications … But they are really adapted to use of organizations?

Planzone was developed to foster collaboration within organizations. The idea is not to invite the tools of the personal sphere to the professional sphere, but beautiful and well to offer a centralized space where the sharing of data and discussions are at the heart of the concept. Project management is part of a heterogeneous environment where communication between committed employees is more fluid.
