The Format of the advertisement has earned great importance today and you can’t achieve your results until you did present your product to customers in the right format. Actually, it is all about your format that the audience able to understand the root causes of your advertisement campaign.
So what is the right format of the advertisement or better to say how you can present a great advertisement campaign to your audience?
Format of Advertisement
The format itself depends on the type of ad, you are trying to go with to achieve what you want to achieve. Well! In general, every ad must have a head or body where the head is the just like main heading that covers up everything about the ad in two words or three, while the rest of the body consists of further details about the advertisement.
Furthermore, it is important to note that an ad that’s skillfully created should be able to deliver the very drop of the idea within 50 words. The rest is on the type, you are using to get your ideas delivered. There are 6 types of classified ads which are generally supposed to be there in the newspaper:
- Situation Vacant type
One of the most common types of classified ads is situation vacant types that are often used for the purpose of gathering job applicants for a particular company looking for a person who desires the job which the company is offering.
These ads always include words like “WANTED” or “REQUIRE” at the very start which makes it clear that the following ad is about a job. After that introductory word, the name of the organization is presented which then leads the information about the post in the company and the number of vacancies available.
Well! It can be that the job which is being advertised is for anyone above 20 or 30 or it can also be limited by the age of 18 to 25 or something like that. Moreover, gender can also be specified since there are some jobs that suit women involved in it, instead of men, e.g. it can be about nursing, babysitting, joining a boutique, or even marketing a product.
Furthermore, minimum qualification and required experience level are mentioned, along with pay scale, mode of payment and application. Once all of the necessary information goes in the ad, phone number and contact address are added in the last.
- To-let Ads
As their name suggests, to let ads are meant to spread the word about a place which is ready to be rented out to others and their targets depend on upon the area that place is covering like a small building is often targeted to schools or small offices while large buildings can be used as an attraction for larger companies.
Well! Not just for rent, this type of ads can be used to letting the localities know that a particular company is in search of a place that is for rent. The format of advertisement for this type always includes “WANTED” or “AVAILABLE” at the start.
The rest of the ad tells the readers about the type of accommodation that one is providing or is looking for. Moreover, any important information that one thinks can either make or break the partnership is notified because of such little things, if left as such can grow up to become great problems later on.
After all this, the expected rent is noted down which can either be negotiable or fixed, and that depends on both buyers and sellers. In the end, just like always, phone number and address are to be noted down, so that the interested ones can get in contact with the one who is either renting the place or looking for a place on rent.
- Sales and Purchases of Properties and Assets
These are the second most common type of classified ads which notify people about properties and assets which are to be sold. But most of the time, the case is just opposite to this, a company or a particular entity can also put up ads to let the readers know that the entity is in the need of a specific asset. That’s the reason that these ads start with either “WANTED”, “SALE” or “PURCHASE”.
Further of the format is just like the rest of the types, like the description of the asset or property e.g. its location, its value according to the locality, or any other information related to it. In the case of buildings, this information can be the number of floors the building has, rooms, surroundings, etc.
For a vehicle, it can about its model, color, years, accessories, mileage, its current condition and the price. Moreover, the ad ends in a normal manner with the help of a phone number or address or both of these.
- Educational Institutions
For educational institutions, the format of advertisement grows a little bulky because unlike the other classified ad types, these ads are supposed to provide all that nitty-gritty details about its position in its localities, its record of past years, the duration of the courses which the institution is providing.
Moreover, the eligibility criteria and details about the admission test are also made a part of the format of the advertisement for this purpose. Well! It just doesn’t end here, instead, the last date of application submission and scholarship information is also added so that if anyone wants, then he/she can avail it within time. Last but not least, contact details are added.
- Missing Person Reports
Even though the format of advertisement for such ads is not of a fixed type but still the advertisers do need to take care of somethings like mentioning each and everything about the missing person like height, color, body shape, gender, name, the color, and type of clothes that the person was wearing before he went missing and complexion.
After that, most importantly the place where the person was last seen is mentioned and the details of the reward are noted down (if any). The ad ends with the information that can ensure continuous contact for any report if the person is found.
